SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Dear Ridge Families,

​

I hope everyone is doing well in the new year and continuing to do what you can to remain safe and healthy! I am looking forward to welcoming back all of our hybrid students this coming Tuesday, Jan. 19, following the holiday weekend. It will be a B day. We have missed having the students here at school and look forward to their safe return. With that in mind, please inform your child(ren)'s teacher and Mrs. Manke if you have traveled outside of our neighboring states in the last 14 days. Your child(ren) will need to quarantine before coming back to school. (See Mrs. Manke's note below.)

Parents, please make sure your children are logged on and participating in their Classroom Meeting each morning at 8:45 – this is an important part of the day, and impacts their attendance record.  Thank you.

REGISTRATION for KINDERGARTEN and New First Graders for September 2021 will open this Saturday, January 16th.  We ask all registrations be completed prior to February 12th.   Simply visit the district website and click on Registration to follow the easy directions.  We look forward to welcoming our new students…..  Please read Dr. Tom Gorman’s letter here:   Kindergarten Registration 2021.pdf

HEALTH NOTICES:

​

If you travelled anywhere over the holidays other than New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, or Delaware, please remember you will need to quarantine for 14 days from your return to New Jersey before returning to school.  (E.G. if you return to Ridgewood on a Sunday, Day 1 of your quarantine is Monday).   Please let Mrs. Manke know so we can mark you as quarantining. Thank you for cooperating with this important health directive.

NEW TIC TOC ART AT HOME VIDEO SERIES:

Check out our new art docent video on Mary Cassatt, a famous American painter and printmaker. We explore her beautiful works of art in which she elevates the relationship between mothers and children. There is also a fun impressionist art project at the end for kids to do.  https://youtu.be/c_g_QmdudkE

We would love for Ridge parents to participate in creating these videos in an effort to further art education for our kids. If interested, please reach out to Tasneem Patrawala.

Ridge Memory Book

Please keep your eye out for school related (at school and at home learning) pictures for the 2020-2021 Memory Book.  At home learning photos with sibling groups are great!  Please send all photos to RidgeMemoryBook@gmail.com

RIDGE CARES

The HSA-run organization that lends a hand to Ridge families in need is in need of volunteers!  Volunteers may be called upon to deliver a dinner or help out with rides, etc. Please consider signing up to be a part of Ridge Cares today. Contact Amy Beiersdorf or Maggie Wall to join. Thank you!
