We had a wonderful start to school today!   So glad to see so many happy children! 

Here are some of our important upcoming dates:

September 6 – Family Picnic on castle hill behind school – 5:00 p.m.

September 11 – Back to School Night – 6:30 p.m.  (Adults only)

September 17 – H.S.A. Meeting – 1:15 p.m. – Faculty Room

September 19 – New Family Coffee - 9:00 a.m. – Cafeteria

September 25 – PHOTO day – all day

September 30 – School closed – Rosh Hashanah

Health Office:

Please read Mrs. Manke’s letter about allergies in school.  ALL parents need to read this – not just those whose children have allergies. Allergy Information for all parents.pdf 

Also, if your child does have allergies, we need their medications along with an Allergy Action Plan.  If you dropped off allergy medication without the Action Plan, we need that immediately.  The forms are available on our website under the Health Tab.

LUNCH ORDERING is now open for September. You can order lunches for the entire month at once.  If your child needs you to drop off a lunch, please do so before 10:00 a.m. in the cooler by the front door.   Here are directions for changing your child’s grade and teacher for this year: Instructions for Lunch Ordering Changes.pdf

Please read Dr. Schoenlank’s letter about Parking & Traffic around Ridge – it is important that everyone understands these procedures.  Please send in the signed page no later than this Friday, September 6th. Parking Letter 2019.pdf

Back to School Picnic - Come be a part of the Ridge Community... bring a blanket and a picnic dinner or buy some hotdogs, popcorn, and more!  

• Details: Friday, 5- 7 PM behind Ridge School.    

• Kindergarteners: Wear your Ridge T-shirts and meet-up with other Kindergarteners 

• First Graders and Families New to Ridge: Look for signs for meeting places  

• Ridgewear: Check out sample sizes of our newly designed line of Ridgewear for school spirit throughout the year! 

• Bake Sale: Bring cash to buy some delicious treats! (See below to donate homemade treats, water and more)

Bakers needed for the annual Family Picnic on Friday 9/6!  Sign up here. Please consider donating baked goods for our family picnic on September 6th! No nuts, individually wrapped goodies - 2 dozen per baking volunteer. Cake pops, cookies, brownies, rice krispie treats, and/or cupcakes (not wrapped). Individually wrapped candy (i.e. ring pops, lollipops, etc.), sliced watermelon wedges (ready to eat) and water bottles also welcome donations! Deliver your goodies to the HSA room by 3:00pm on Sept 6th or between 3-4pm directly to bake sale table set up behind the school. RIDGE SCHOOL DIRECTORY - Exciting news - Ridgewood schools are transitioning to a new online format this year. Parents and teachers can access our school directory via mobile phones, laptops and desktop computers. Directory cost is $25 and includes a full year of access to our school activities and family contact information. Our directory will be available for sale at the end of September. Please watch Enews for a link to order your directory!  Banner ads and Sponsor ads are also available - please contact Kerry DeVincenzo to find out about advertising.
