Beginning tomorrow and ending Friday, Sept. 20, every school in Ridgewood will be conducting a coin drive to benefit those impacted by Hurricane Dorian. All funds raised will be given to the American Red Cross. Please consider donating!

​

MESSAGES…..Although we can only deliver messages to children in an emergency (no playdate changes, reminders to go to scouts, etc.) when you do contact us, please tell us your child’s full name and teacher – we have a large number of children whose names are different than their parents.  Thanks!

​

LUNCH….if you order school lunches, please make sure you receive a confirming email with the correct dates.  We do not have extra lunches to distribute when children are missing a lunch, and it’s often inconvenient for parents to bring something over to Ridge.

September 11 – Back to School Night – 6:30 p.m.  (Adults only)

September 13 – Family Picnic on castle hill behind school – 5:00 p.m.

September 17 – H.S.A. Meeting – 1:15 p.m. – Faculty Room

September 19 – New Family Coffee - 9:00 a.m. – Cafeteria

September 25 – PHOTO day – all day

September 30 – School closed – Rosh Hashanah

Health Office:    Please read Mrs. Manke’s letter about allergies in school.  ALL parents need to read this – not just those whose children have allergies. Allergy Information for all parents.pdf 

Also, if your child has allergies, we need their medications along with an Allergy Action Plan.  If you dropped off allergy medication without the Action Plan, we need that immediately.  The forms are available on our website under the Health Tab.

LICE…now that we are back in school, just a reminder to check your child’s head daily for lice.  Visit the Health page on our website for helpful instructions.   If your child does have lice, they need to be treated and cleared by the nurse before they can return to school.  We do not do mass head checks for lice – parents are responsible for checking their own children.  Thank you.

RIDGE SCHOOL DIRECTORY - Exciting news - Ridgewood schools are transitioning to a new online format this year. Parents and teachers can access our school directory via mobile phones, laptops and desktop computers. Directory cost is $25 and includes a full year of access to our school activities and family contact information. Our directory will be available for sale at the end of September.
