Please help!

You can help us in two easy ways:

1. Write your child's name in all sweatshirts and jackets. Last week alone Ridge students' lost clothing filled two large baskets! (It will also help greatly if they keep track of what they wear to school.)

2. Make a sign with your child's last name for red zone use. You'd be amazed at how helpful it is to the volunteers. Thank you to those who have already done this!

BOOK GIFTING!!  It’s not too late to participate in the Ridge Library Book Gifting Program!  It is a great way to recognize your child’s birthday while contributing a lasting gift to our library’s collection.  Please see the attached flyer and registration form. BOOK GIFTING PROGRAM 2019.pdf

HEALTH OFFICE NOTES:

LICE…just a reminder to check your child’s head daily for lice.  Visit the Health page on our website for helpful instructions.   If your child does have lice, they need to be treated and cleared by the nurse before they can return to school.  We do not do mass head checks for lice – parents are responsible for checking their own children.

CLUBS:

Attention 3rd, 4th, or 5th graders!  Interested in joining the Cambodia Club? Our first meeting will tomorrow Wednesday, October 16 @ 8am in the library. Please fill in the Google form so that we know how many people to expect. If you have any questions, please contact Michele Eng  or Karen Feder

HSA Notices

FAMILY BINGO NIGHT is this Friday, October 18th  at 7:00 p.m.  One of the best nights for Ridge families! Tickets will be sold at the door: $4 per person - extra cards $2 each. All families are welcome. Please contact Dr. Schoenlank if cost is a concern. We are in need of donated prizes  - toys, games, books, etc. would be greatly appreciated and will contribute to making Bingo Night  a success. Kindly drop off your donation in the box near the school entrance labeled BINGO. THANK YOU! We are also in need of 4-5 volunteers for door and prize table assistance (7:00 pm - 9:00 pm). If you are interested in helping out, please contact Eileen Sorabella.

WE NEED YOUR HELP – please consider donating baked goods for our annual BINGO Night coming up this Friday October 18th.  No nuts, individually wrapped goodies - 2 dozen per baking volunteer. Cake pops, cookies, brownies, rice krispie treats, and/or cupcakes (not wrapped). Individually wrapped candy (i.e. ring pops, lollipops, etc.) and water bottles also welcome donations! Deliver your goodies to the HSA room by 3:00pm on October 18th.

Teacher Appreciation Luncheon…The first Teacher Appreciation luncheon of the year is this Friday, October 18th, 2019. We are looking for volunteers from the Fourth and Fifth Grade parents! Please show your appreciation for our teachers! We are in need of volunteers from each class to bring in salads/sides and desserts. HSA will provide wraps and sandwiches. ****Friends of Ridge ****

Friends of Ridge Flyers have been mailed out and we are starting to collect donations.  Thank you to those who have generously donated!  We are trying to match last year’s funding of $19,000 in enrichment programs which equates to about $50 / child.  However, no donation is too small or too large!  These programs are chosen by the teachers for each grade to supplement the curriculum within the allotted budget.  We have some exciting prizes for the first 12 families who donate!  Click here to donate now!  https://www.ridgehsa.org/donate

 

Aladdin Jr is Coming to Ridge!   Attention Students 3rd grade to 5th grade: Drama Club is back and registrations are now open, Welcome Meeting is on November 12 at 3pm. Auditions will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd from  3-5PM and are for casting purposes only. All registered students are accepted and given a role(s) in the production. Rehearsals will be Tuesdays & Thursdays 3pm until 5pm from December 10 through February 7. Extended rehearsals - Tuesday & Thursday, after winter break: 3-6pm on dates to be determined and the week of the show.
