SSA THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE
Ridge will be collecting food items between 11/7 and 11/18 for distribution by the Social Service Association to friends and neighbors in need of assistance. Please see the attached flyer for specific information on the types of food we are collecting and kindly drop your items in the marked boxes by the front door beginning 11/7.

5TH GRADE PHOTO - REMINDER
On Wednesday, 11/2, at 10am the fifth graders will have a grade level group photo taken. This will take place on the same day as photo retakes. You will be able to order the photo through the photographer once the photo is taken.
PHOTO DAY MAKE-UPS AND RETAKES - REMINDER
A link to school photos has been emailed to you directly by Rod Bolten. Photo day make-ups and retakes will be on 11/2. If you would like to request a retake, please email Mrs. Moomjy by October 27 so we can have your child’s name on the list.
WISHING TREE - HOLIDAY GIFT DRIVE
The wishing tree is now set up in our lobby. If you take a snowflake to help a child this holiday season, please return the gift to Ridge unwrapped and with a tag attached. Thank you!
CANDY COLLECTION
Our school will be participating in a Halloween candy collection for charitable distribution. Large bins will be in the front hall from October 31 through November 11. Thanks for your support!

Our RidgeWear Fundraiser was a big success thanks to our RidgeWear Chairs, Henriette Tasko and Kim Brodeur Jaten. Please stay tuned for future RidgeWear fundraisers this school year!
The HSA would also like to thank our Walk to School Week Chairs Sweta Naik and Alexa Hanley for a fun week of walking to school. Our kids learned fun facts about walking and celebrated the end of the week with ice pops at school!

AIDE APPRECIATION LUNCH – 11/2

FAMILY PORTRAIT FUNDRAISER – 10/29 AND 10/30
Our HSA Family Portrait Day Fundraiser is almost here! Due to demand, we opened the fundraiser to two days and there are just a few spots left!
Sign up today to have a mini session with professional photographer (and Ridgewood mom) Ash V. (@ashv_photography) on 10/29 or 10/30. Mini sessions are open to teachers and staff too! Each session will last 20 minutes, and you can choose from 2 packages. Deadline for signups is Thursday!

$100You will receive the 5 best hi-resolution images from the shoot. Pictures will be emailed within 10 days.
Package 2:
$250You will receive all of the images from your shoot in hi-resolution. Pictures will be emailed within 10 days.This is a great opportunity to get your pictures taken for holiday cards, gifts, or posterity!

RIDGE ART ROOM VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
The art room depends on volunteers to keep it organized and running smoothly. Are you interested in volunteering for Kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade art classes or helping with the art displays? Please use the sign-up genius. Select your teacher then select the date(s) that work for you!

RED ZONE – NEW PARENTS PLEASE READ!
Parents/guardians/babysitters are still picking up children outside of the permitted areas. You are not allowed to wait in the teacher parking lot for your children outside of the actual pick up line. You are not allowed to park in teacher parking spots and walk to get your children. You are not allowed to park in the red zone and get out of your car. If you are sending someone to pick up your children, please share this important information with them.
To keep the Red Zone running we need to have help in the mornings and afternoons to ensure that rules are followed and to assist when needed. Please help us keep our kids safe by following these rules and by volunteering.
OUTDOOR LIBRARY
