Gratitude

The HSA would like to thank our amazing Social Committee and the Goldberg Family for hosting our Ridge Oktoberfest party! It was a huge success and a very fun evening!

Your Friends of Ridge (Enrichment) contributions paid for the visit from youth motivational speaker Brandon Lee White last week. His presentation focused on being brave and being kind. He also encouraged the kids to focus on positivity and much more, while also dancing to music from the 50s to the present! Don’t forget to ask your children what they thought of Mr. White’s presentation. We are excited for many enrichment activities this year, all made possible by parents!

Book Gifting

The Ridge School Library Book Gifting Program is here! This program is a great way to recognize your child’s birthday while providing a last gift to our library collection. Please follow the link to participate. Questions? Contact Julia Bender.

Tic Toc Art Docents Needed

Do you want to go into your child's classroom and see them in action? Volunteer as a TIC TOC Art Docent! TIC TOC (To Introduce Culture To Our Children) is a local volunteer organization that makes fine and performing arts experiences available to our students. The program has paintings and special collections of sculptures and artifacts that are on display at the school throughout the year. We are looking for parents to serve as art docents to bring the artwork into the classroom to share with the students. Docents can have a class discussion about the artwork, do a related craft or activity, or a combination of both. The possibilities are endless! The docents coordinate with the classroom teacher to find times that they can go into the classroom. No experience is needed as we provide resources along the way and offer parents to shadow some of the more experienced docents. If you are interested, please email Jessie Long.

Outdoor Library

The Outdoor Library is dressed up for Halloween and the collection rotated to highlight mystery, fantasy, and season selections. Thank you book donors!

Please remember to:

  • Borrow one book at a time

  • Return books within two weeks (location on front patio)

  • Check home and backpacks for books with the “Jean Schoenlank’s Outdoor Library” sticker

Any questions, suggestions or to donate, please email RidgeOutdoorLibrary@gmail.com

Ridge Art Room Volunteers Needed

The art room depends on volunteers to keep it organized and running smoothly. Are you interested in volunteering for Kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade art classes or helping with the art displays? Please use the sign-up genius. Select your teacher then select the date(s) that work for you!

If you have any questions or would like to volunteer for 3rd-5th grade, please contact us directly. Christin Williams and Leony Naciri.

Red Zone – New Parents Please Read!

Parents/guardians/babysitters are still picking up children outside of the permitted areas. You are not allowed to wait in the teacher parking lot for your children outside of the actual pick up line. You are not allowed to park in teacher parking spots and walk to get your children. You are not allowed to park in the red zone and get out of your car. If you are sending someone to pick up your children, please share this important information with them.

To keep the Red Zone running we need to have help in the mornings and afternoons to ensure that rules are followed and to assist when needed. Please help us keep our kids safe by following these rules and by volunteering.
