HOLIDAY SING-A-LONG
Please remember that our Holiday Sing-A-Long is scheduled for this Friday December 9th as follows: grades K, 2, 4 - 9:30am / and grades 1, 3, 5 - 10:30am. Children are welcome to dress festively. Please see the attached map for seating purposes.
BUEHLER CHALLENGER & SCIENCE CENTER FIELD TRIP
On Monday, January 9th, and Tuesday, January 10th, the 5th graders will travel to the Buehler Challenger & Science Center in Paramus, NJ. The students will participate in a space simulation called "Return to the Moon" where they will understand the roles of mission control and astronauts and how they work together to complete a space mission. The classes will split to complete three missions over two days. The cost for the trip is $55 and should be submitted on the HSA website by December 16, 2002

GRATITUDE
Thank you for the outpouring of support and contributions to the breakfast in memory of Basil J. Pizzuto at RHS. RHS Staff was very appreciative of the breakfast Ridge, Willard and Orchard provided to the school on Friday.
A special thanks to Emily Howell for running a very successful Charleston Wrap fundraiser. Thank you also to Monogrammin Mom, Ridge mom Ashley Minetti, for helping Ridge out this year with her fundraiser!
LSHSA MEETING – THURSDAY 12/8
We are looking forward to our LSHSA Information Meeting on Thursday, 12/8 at 9:30 a.m.. *Please note that this meeting will take place in the conference room on the 3rd floor of the BOE building. Dr. Michelle Fenwick and the Special Programs Office will provide an update on special programs. In addition, Dr. Leonard Fitts, Interim Superintendent of Schools, will be in attendance to provide an update, along with a representative from our Board of Education. To make these updates as useful as possible under the time constraints, any specific questions/concerns you have that you would like to see addressed should be emailed to LSHSA@ridgewood.k12.nj.us as soon as possible. TEACHER APPRECIATION DAY – 12/16
The holiday teacher appreciation luncheon will be held on Friday, December 16th. The HSA will provide sandwiches and wraps and we are asking second and third grade parents to provide salads, sides or desserts. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
RED ZONE
Please help us keep our Red Zone safe for our kids by volunteering this month.
Please follow the rules of the Red Zone. There is no parking allowed in either parking lot except for handicapped spots when permitted. You may not park in marked teacher parking spots, or pull between parking spots, or park and exit your car in the drop off and pick up line in the teachers parking lot. Please do not get out of your car in the red zone, either during drop off or pick up. To keep our kids safe and our Red Zone running, parents and drivers must follow the basic rules of the Red Zone.
RIDGE ART ROOM
The art room depends on volunteers to keep it organized and running smoothly. Are you interested in volunteering for kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade art classes or helping with the art displays? Please use the sign-up genius. Select your teacher then select the date(s) that work for you!

RIDGE CARES
Ridge Cares is an HSA program designed to aid Ridge families in need. We have a staff of volunteers who will deliver meals to families or provide light errands. If you find yourself in need of assistance, whether due to illness, injury, or other life occurrence, or if you know of anyone who might need some help, please contact Maggie Wall. If you'd like to join our bank of Ridge Cares volunteers, please contact Lana Monte. We can always use more hands!
There is no specific obligation involved; if a need is identified we will contact all volunteers to check availability. All inquiries will be handled with the utmost discretion. Please don't hesitate to ask for help if you need it; and please sign up to lend a hand if you are able to do so.
RIDGE MEMORY BOOK
Each year the HSA provides a Memory Book for every child at Ridge, We depend on parents for photo collection. If you would like your child to be included in our Ridge Memory Book, please send photos of your child(ren) at Ridge School events throughout the year (first day of school, Back to School Picnic, Glee Club, Halloween, Bingo Night etc.) to ridgememorybook2023@gmail,com.
