First Day of School - 9/6
Our Ridge HSA Social Committee will be providing coffee for parents in front of school on the first day, weather permitting. Please stop by and say hello after you drop off your children at specified locations. Please review Mr. Piacenza’s letter of last week for first day of school instructions.
Student Information Update
The Mandatory Annual Student Information Update deadline has passed. This process is essential to ensure that the District has the most up-to-date information for you and your children in Skyward. This process must be completed for all students in your family in order for them to have access to our district's network, resources, and Chromebooks on their first day of school, as well as other important information such as Media Release and Dismissal Policy. If you haven’t done so, please complete all steps in Skyward Family Access today. If you require assistance with Skyward Family Access, please contact skywardhelp@ridgewood.k12.nj.us.
Back to School Night - 9/8
Back to School Night instructions for all grades will be emailed to parents in the coming week.
Back to School Picnic - 9/9
Our annual Back to School Picnic will be held on Friday September 9th, 5-7pm. There will be food trucks, inflatables, raffles, baked treats, live music by Mr. Piacenza’s band, George Rockington, and more! We can’t run these fun events without your help. Please sign up for a half hour time slot or donate water or ice. We encourage all families to help out in some way. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70A0C45A4AB2EA3FB6-back
Red Zone
The Red Zone will be open on the first day of school. Please remember that the Red Zone is for students who can unbuckle their own seatbelts and open the car door by themselves in a timely manner. We ask that students be ready to exit when the car is stopped. Please have your student only exit from the passenger side in the marked Red Zone at drop off, and only enter your car in the Red Zone at pick up. Parents are not permitted to park in the Red Zone line and get out of vehicles, and children are not permitted to walk down the driveway and enter cars that are waiting for the Red Zone. The teacher parking lot is only for 4th and 5th grade students, not for parking and walking your children. Please wait for crossing guards to cross you. Be patient, no speeding or honking. To keep the Red Zone running we need to have help in the mornings and afternoons to ensure that rules are followed and to assist when needed. Please help us keep our kids safe by following these rules and by volunteering.
