The Executive Board of the HSA has been working diligently over the past couple of months to allocate and distribute the proceeds raised at the Gala. Of the more than $36,000 raised, each of our 22 classroom libraries will receive $1,000 worth of books. This will have a tremendous impact on our children. The Ridge teachers have been hard at work selecting books that are appropriate for their classrooms. We anticipate that the books will arrive as soon as the publishing houses open back up for business due to the Covid-19 closures.

The remainder of the Gala proceeds have been allocated towards the following items of recess equipment which are sure to make our kids smile: outdoor gaga pit, 2 soccer goals, in-ground basketball hoop, outdoor chess table and chairs, as well as, various assorted smaller recess items. Efforts are presently being undertaken to install the recess equipment with the expectation that it will be ready for the children when they return to school. For a sneak peak of similar recess items to those that have been purchased click here.
